Below is a sampling of grants that have been announced through these services:
Family Support and Community Access Demonstration Projects
Deadline: Aug. 2
Grants of up to $250,000 will be awarded to support up to five Family Support and Community Access Demonstration Projects. Potential projects will rely on collaborative efforts and community-based solutions to reach underserved families.
Childhood Obesity Prevention
Deadline: Aug. 3
Grants of up to $25 million will support programs designed to reduce the prevalence of obesity among children and adolescents. This grant may be used for single-function research, education and extension projects, multifunction integrated research, education and extension projects, or food and agricultural science enhancement grants.
Initiative to Reduce Long-Term Foster Care
Deadline: Aug. 9
Grants of up to $2.5 million will fund activities designed to reduce the length of time children and youth spend in foster care.
Research Education Program for Clinical Researchers and Clinicians
Deadline: Sept. 7
More Information: U.S. Department of Health and Human ServicesGrants of up to $350,000 will be awarded to support research, education, and training for individuals in clinically focused careers. Proposed topics of interest should relate to substance use, abuse, or addiction.
Multi-Component Youth/Young Adult Prevention Trials
Deadline: Dec. 2
Grants of up to $500,000 will be awarded to support research that will advance the science of alcohol prevention and treatment. Proposed research projects will seek to evaluate the effectiveness and costs of multi-component community programs.  |
